Bauxite and Alumina Refining

Aluminum is the third most abundant element on earth’s surface. Only oxygen and silicon are more common. Aluminum is extracted from bauxite, which is washed and crushed, reducing the particle size and increasing the available surface area for the refining process. iBulk provides solutions for applications that are required in aluminium production, including dryings and screening of bauxite and screening of alumina powder. Through an electrochemical smelting process Alumina is converted into the aluminium metal.

Bauxite

Screening solutions for raw bauxite, as well as drying of the material before the conversion into alumina powder.
iBulk Products: Vibrating Fluid Bed Dryers, Sweco Separator, Rotex Gyratory Sifter.

Alumina

After the conversion of bauxite to alumina before smelting there are several stages of scalping and lump removal of foreign bodies from the fine particles.
iBulk Products: Rotex Gyratory Screeners, Sweco Separator, SFH Electro Magnetic Feeders; iDDF Direct Drive Feeders

Aluminium

At the smelter there are several processes where iBulk is involved from the green anode, carbon plants to the anode recovery and recycling of carbon. We have supplied to most Australian smelters and several in Asian Pacific and the Middle East.
iBulk Products: iDDF Direct Drive Feeders, iDDF Grizzly Feeders, iDDS Direct Drive Screeners Feeders, iVIB Direct Screens, VIMEC Natural Frequency Conveyors and Magnetic Drum Separators.
